
The Cumberland County Historical and Genealogical Society in Greenup, Illinois, maintains records and assists with the preservation of local history in Cumberland County, Illinois.
The Cumberland County Historical and Genealogical Society elected to locate its collection in museums along the National Road. The Greenup Museum Complex now consists of three 100-year-old buildings on the National Register of Historic Places:
-- The Historic Greenup Depot,
-- The Johnson Building and Genealogical Library, and
-- The Military Museum in the former Carnegie Library.
